The Forschungsdock CRO GmbH company is a contract research organization (CRO) based close to the city of Hamburg. Our aim is to stand by your side as a strong and dependable partner. We plan clinical studies, do all the necessary preparatory work, and support you – pharmaceutical and biotech companies, manufacturers of medical devices, CROs, and also clinics and physicians (in the context of investigator-sponsored trials, ISTs) – in their implementation.

Dr. Christoph Ortland | Managing Director
Christoph Ortland has been involved in the clinical development of drugs and medical devices since 1993 and is familiar with the requirements of small and large pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, and medtech companies. He is the founder and managing director of the company. He primarily provides consulting services to our customers and is your first point of contact.
Dr. Doris Greiling | Clinical Development Expert
Doris Greiling works at Forschungsdock in the capacity of Clinical Development Expert. She has been actively engaged in the clinical development of medicinal products for over 20 years now. Her primary focus is on the areas of national and international project management, quality management, consultancy, and training.
Dr. Antje Dahlen | Senior Quality Manager, Senior GCP Auditor
With more than 20 years of experience in quality management, Antje Dahlen is an integral part of our QA department. Ms. Dahlen has extensive experience as a quality manager and trainer as well as an auditor (investigational site audits, service provider/vendor audits) and supports our customers in all QM matters.
Sandra Woller | Senior Project Manager
With Sandra Woller, Forschungsdock CRO has a project manager with many years of experience on its team who, thanks to her professional experience at CRO and biotech companies, is very familiar with the needs of both sides. With her broad knowledge of indications and planning expertise, Sandra Woller supports our customers in their drug, medical device, and digital health studies.
Kirstin Steffen | Clinical Monitoring Manager
Kirstin Steffen is Forschungsdock's Senior CRA and Clinical Monitoring Manager. She is responsible for everything related to clinical monitoring and is thoroughly familiar with the responsibilities of both sponsors and trial site teams.
Dr. Cornelia Breuer | Project Manager, Quality Manager, CRA
Cornelia Breuer has been working in clinical research since 2007. As a project manager, quality manager, and CRA, she has a wide range of skills and supports our clients in their projects involving drugs and medical devices with competence and motivation.
Ritika Jain | Clinical Trial Assistant
Ritika Jain joined our Clinical Operations team in 2025 and has been an indispensable member ever since. She supports our PMs and CRAs with great motivation, diligence, and care.

Christian Hilgenstock has more than 35 years of experience in various roles in clinical development. He supports Forschungsdock's QM department with his extensive knowledge and assists our clients primarily in the area of SOP review and revision.
